The New Peugeot 107 iOn EV

Peugeot has announced the first details about their new iOn electric vehicle, which is stated to be launched towards the end of 2010. Essentially The iOn boasts a 130 km (81 mile) range thanks to its advanced lithium-ion batteries. The batteries can be recharged 80% within thirty minutes thanks to a rapid charger and power comes from an electric motor that produces 47 kW (64 bhp) and 180 Nm of torque. Peugeot stated the iOn has a top speed of 130 km/h (81 mph).

Peugeot Reveal BB1 Concept

Peugeot has unveiled the BB1 Concept car which is not really a car. Dubbed "a totally new solution to the current and future needs of urban mobility", the BB1 combines the utility of a car and the flexibility of a quad bike.

It can sit four people even though it is only 2.5 metres long. Part of the reason for its spaciousness is that there are no foot pedals....

Peugeot 908 Wins Le Mans 2009

Peugeot have ended Audi's long domination of the Le Mans 24 Hour race. The Peugeot 908 prototypes scored a 1-2 victory, while Audi's new R15 TDI racer only managed to come in third.

The winning #9 Peugeot was driven by Marc Gene, David Brabham, and Alexander Wurz while Peugeot's #8 car - driven by Sébastien Bourdais, Franck Montagny and Stéphane Sarrazin - finished one lap behind.....
